Beschreibung:

Eric (Dylan Spouse) ist ein ehemaliger Elitesoldat, der noch immer unter PTBS (Posttraumatische Belastungsstörung) leidet. Immer wieder wird der Veteran an seinen für ihn so schrecklich geendeten Einsatz im Mittleren Osten erinnert. Doch für seine im Teenagerinnenalter befindliche Schwester Maddie (Megan Stott) versucht er stark zu sein. So wie heute, als die beiden mit dem Auto über die Tobin Bridge nach Boston reinfahren, um gemeinsam ins Kino zu gehen. Als sie direkt über dem Mystic River in einem Stau stehen, stürmen plötzlich schwer bewaffnete Söldner die Brücke und sprengen einen Teil von ihr. So sitzen hunderte von Menschen in einer tödlichen Falle. Ziel der Kerle ist es, eine Gefangene (Dichen Lachman) aus einem in unmittelbarer Nähe von Eric und Maddie stehenden Panzerwagen der Polizei freizupressen. Als der Anführer (Mason Gooding) der Terroristen damit beginnt, unschuldige Autofahrer*innen zu töten, erinnert Eric sich an seine militärische Ausbildung und versucht seine Schwester und die anderen Geiseln zu retten.
