RecurDyn represents CAE MultiBody Dynamics Simulation (MBD) system for simulation of mechanical components and their KINEMATIC characteristics. The basis is RecurDyn core Multi-Flexible Body Dynamics (MFBD) obedinyayuschee Multibody Dynamics solver and Nonlinear Finite Element solver


Multibody system is used for modeling the dynamic behavior of solid and interconnected elastic bodies, each of which can perform complicated translational and rotational movements. The dynamic behavior is the result of an equilibrium of the applied forces and changes in pulse rate. The body is generally regarded as a rigid or flexible part of the mechanical system.

The FunctionBay development team is pleased to announce the availability of RecurDyn V9R4. The new release allows to better design with improved modeling conveniences and MFBD functions. It is now possible to consider the thermal stress and thermal expansion due to temperature changes within a flexible body in RecurDyn and to easily create a gear with flexible webs.

RecurDyn is an interdisciplinary, computer-aided engineering (CAE) software package whose primary function is the simulation of Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD). RecurDyn simulates both rigid and flexible body dynamics by combining traditional rigid MBD with cutting-edge finite element technology for modeling flexible bodies. In addition, RecurDyn also includes a tightly-integrated controller design tool, design optimization, particle dynamics for granular materials, and durability and fatigue analysis. RecurDyn also supports co-simulation with various other computer-aided engineering software tools. RecurDyn includes a seamless co-simulation environment for coupled simulations with computational fluid dynamics solver, Particleworks from Prometech, allowing for detailed analysis of the interaction of fluids and multi-body systems.
