From the 1996 Japan tour by Page & Plant, which has already become a legend,the February 13 show at Budokan in Tokyo and the February 15 show at Osaka-jo Hall are now available on Blu-ray,
upconverted from the finest existing video and sound sources. The legendary Japan tour,
which attracted much attention at the time as the second coming of Zep, had a set list of all 10 shows of the Japan tour,
with each day's performance changing, The live video footage was created using the video master of “THIRD EYE PRODUCTIONS,”
which has been known since the VHS era for its miraculous level as an AUD shot at the time.
The digitally remastered video version, edited by an overseas collector, was used as the base,
and then up-converted to HD quality and converted to Blu-ray format.
The audio portion was also digitally remastered from the soundboard recordings of the two performances that had been leaked to the public.
Thus, compared to the VHS and DVD of the same content in the past,
the difference in quality is obvious due to the restoration work using the original video
and the live sound sources re-edited to the best source. The fact that the touring band,
Egyptian Unit, and a Japanese orchestra performed with the band only on this occasion,
as well as the ever-changing set, can all be seen in this quality is nothing short of miraculous.
In addition, bonus footage of backstage and rehearsals is included, totaling 4 hours and 44 minutes, making this a must-see must-have item.
