Um nach längerer Arbeitslosigkeit endlich ihren Traumjob zu bekommen, verschweigt Alina, dass sie alleinerziehende Mutter der neunjährigen Lilia ist. Ein neues Alltagskonzept muss her, um ihren Beruf mit der Schule und dem Geigenunterricht der Tochter unter einen Hut zu bekommen. Alina ist auf die Hilfe ihres Exfreundes Jarek angewiesen, der Lilia nun einmal pro Woche zum Geigenunterricht bringen soll. Der erfolglose Maler Jarek, der sich mit einem Job als Kellner über Wasser hält, lässt sich ebenso ungern auf die neue Situation ein wie Lilia.
