Schnell wird klar, dass der in Sicherheitskreise mit dem Codenamen „Red One“ bedachte Geschenkeüberbringer anscheinend gekidnappt wurde. Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson) wird als Sicherheitschef des Nordpols schleunigst auf den Plan gerufen, um den Fall zu lösen und den Weihnachtsmann wieder rechtzeitig vor dem Fest zurück an den Nordpol zu bekommen. Mit ins Boot wird Jack O'Malley (Chris Evans) geholt, der einer der bekanntesten Kopfgeldjäger auf dem Planeten und Callum Drifts Meinung nach nicht immer der einfachste Zeitgenosse ist.
