Die deutsche Band (DOLCH) macht beim Hellfest Station und demonstriert, was Dark Ambient bedeutet. Eine Darbietung von geradezu vampirischer Schönheit.
Die deutsche Dark-Ambient-Formation (DOLCH) mag es offenbar gerne geheimnisvoll: Informationen über die Band zu erhalten, erweist sich als nahezu unmöglich. Bekannt ist nur, dass sie aus Berlin kommt und ihre Mitglieder eine Schwäche für Katzen haben.
Angesichts dieser Geheimniskrämerei bleibt einem nur, sich mit ihrer Musik zu beschäftigen. 2019 veröffentlichten (DOLCH) mit Feuer ihr Longplay-Debüt, drei Jahre später folgte das Album Nacht. Ihre Diskografie ist durchzogen von betörendem Darkwave, der hin und wieder mit TripHop-Elementen flirtet. So entsteht ein hypnotisch-düsteres Ambient-Klanguniversum, das eines Draculas oder Nosferatus würdig wäre.
Auf der Temple Stage bieten (DOLCH) den Hellfest-Besuchern eine außergewöhnliche, fast cineastische Erfahrung. In diesen Kokon der Finsternis lässt es sich gut einkuscheln.

The German band (DOLCH) stops off at Hellfest and demonstrates what dark ambient means. A performance of almost vampiric beauty.
The German dark ambient formation (DOLCH) apparently likes things mysterious: getting information about the band turns out to be almost impossible. All that is known is that it comes from Berlin and its members have a weakness for cats.
Given this secrecy, the only thing left to do is to engage with their music. In 2019 (DOLCH) released their long-play debut with Feuer, followed three years later by the album Nacht. Their discography is permeated by beguiling darkwave that occasionally flirts with trip-hop elements. This creates a hypnotic, dark ambient sound universe worthy of Dracula or Nosferatus.
On the Temple Stage (DOLCH) offer Hellfest visitors an extraordinary, almost cinematic experience. It's easy to snuggle up in this cocoon of darkness.
