Auf dem Weg ins Wochenende bleiben am Freitagabend vier Menschen im Aufzug eines Bürohochhauses stecken: der alternde Werbe-Macho Jörg, seine Kollegin und Ex-Geliebte Marion, der Kurier Pit und der Buchhalter Gössmann. Als es keine Reaktion auf ihre Bemühungen gibt, auf sich aufmerksam zu machen, vertreibt sich Pit die Zeit erst einmal damit, Marion anzubaggern. Das wiederum missfällt Jörg über alle Maßen. Gössmann hingegen versucht, sich im Hintergrund zu halten, und hat auch allen Grund dazu: war ihm seine Kündigung doch Anlass genug, den Inhalt des Bürosafes in seine Aktentasche zu packen.
