Plot:
Der IPS-Fahrer Doug (Kevin James) und die Sekretärin Carrie Heffernan (Leah Remini) - glücklich verheiratet und in einem bescheidenen Häuschen in Queens lebend. Doch dann ist's mit der Ruhe vorbei und Carries Vater Arthur (Jerry Stiller) zieht bei ihnen in den Keller, da Carries Mutter überraschend starb und Arthur keine Lust hat in ein Pflegeheim zu gehen. Von da an herrscht die Unruhe. Ewiger Streit zwischen Arthur und Doug führt schlussendlich auch zu Konflikten zwischen Carrie und Doug. Mit von der Partie sind auch Dougs Freunde Spence, Richie und Deacon, die immer wieder ihren Weg in die Streitigkeiten der drei finden...
