Présenté devant une salle comble au Centre Bell le 6 novembre dernier, le concert élaboré par Adam Cohen pour souligner le premier anniversaire de la disparition de son pèrea fait vivre des émotions intenses à tous les admirateurs du poète-compositeur montréalais alors que ses plus grandes chansons se sont succédé,
interprétées par des artistes aussi célèbres qu’inspirés.
Radio-Canada est heureuse de pouvoir offrir, en guise de cadeau des Fêtes, la possibilité à tous les fans de Leonard Cohen à travers le pays,
d’assister à cet événement historique!
TOWER OF SONG : HOMMAGE À LEONARD COHEN sera diffusé en primeur télé le mercredi 3 janvier à 20 h sur ICI RADIO-CANADA TÉLÉ,
Parmi les moments mémorables de cette soirée : Dance Me to the End of Love par Sting, Who by Fire par Patrick Watson, Hallelujah par k.d. lang qui a soulevé la foule,
The Partisan__ (en anglais et en français) par Adam Cohen, Damien Rice et Cœur de pirate, So Long, Marianne par Adam Cohen et The Webb Sisters, Chelsea Hotel par Lana Del Rey et Adam Cohen,
Famous Blue Raincoat par Damien Rice, Everybody Knows par Courtney Love, Bird on the Wire par Elvis Costello,
ainsi que des participations par vidéo de Céline Dion, Peter Gabriel, Willie Nelson et Chris Martin du groupe Coldplay.

the Prime Minister of Canada and the Premier of Quebec in celebrating Cohen’s legacy for Tower of Song:
A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Nov. 6, 2017.
Participating artists include Sting, Elvis Costello, Lana Del Rey, Feist, k.d. lang, Wesley Schultz
and Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers, Damien Rice, Sting, Patrick Watson, and Adam Cohen.
“My father left me with a list of instructions before he passed: ‘
Put me in a pine box next to my mother and father. Have a small memorial for close friends and family in Los Angeles…
and if you want a public event do it in Montreal,’” said singer-songwriter Adam Cohen “
I see this concert as a fulfillment of my duties to my father that we gather in Montreal to ring the bells that still can ring.”
