Eine Stimme wie Janis Joplin! Der, durch seinen Charthit „The Reckoning Song (One Day)“ bekannt gewordene Asaf Avidan überzeugt mit seiner außergewöhnlichen Stimme. Diese zeichnet sich durch sein feminines Falsett aus. Doch Avidan beherrscht nicht nur dieses Register. Mal hoch und klar, dann wieder tief und rau, erobert er die Herzen seiner Zuhörer*innen durch Variation.
In Jerusalem geboren und als Kind von Diplomaten unter anderem in Jamaica aufgewachsen, ist Asaf Avidan ein Wanderer zwischen den Kulturen und Klängen. Sein Weg zur Musik begann nicht als Wunderkind, sondern erst in seinen Zwanzigern. In schwierigen Lebenslagen, dem Außenseiterdasein während des Wehrdiensts oder dem ersten großen Liebeskummer, bewaffnet sich Avidan mit seiner Gitarre, um sich durch die stürmischen Wellen des Lebens zu kämpfen. Aus diesen Tiefen wuchs eine musikalische Seele, die ihre Emotionen in Noten zu fassen weiß.
2006 wird seine erste EP mit dem Titel „Now That You’re Leaving“ in Israel veröffentlicht. Anschließend veröffentlicht Avidan mehrere Alben. Mit seiner Band The Mojos im Schlepptau betritt Avidan die Bühnen dieser Welt, sowohl als Hauptact in ausverkauften Hallen, als auch im Vorprogramm von musikalischen Größen wie Morrissey und Avidan’s großem Idol Bob Dylan.
Mit seinem „Reckoning Song“ landet Avidan seinen großen Coup. Der Ohrwurm wird durch den kreativen Remix des Berliner DJ’s Wankelmut zu „One Day“ über Nacht zum Hit. Erneut als Single veröffentlicht, geht der Song in den Charts durch die Decke.
Seither ist er unaufhaltsam. Mit weiteren Alben im Gepäck geht Avidan steht Avidan erneut auf der Bühne, um die Welt mit seinen poetischen Klängen zu verzaubern. Im Rahmen seiner Ichonology-Tour 2023/24 lädt er sein Publikum ein auf eine Reise, die durch die Tiefen der menschlichen Seele führt.

A voice like Janis Joplin! Asaf Avidan, who became known for his chart hit “The Reckoning Song (One Day)”, impresses with his extraordinary voice. This is characterized by his feminine falsetto. But Avidan doesn't just master this register. Sometimes high and clear, then again deep and rough, he conquers the hearts of his listeners through variation.
Born in Jerusalem and raised as the child of diplomats in places like Jamaica, Asaf Avidan is a wanderer between cultures and sounds. His path to music did not begin as a child prodigy, but rather in his twenties. In difficult situations in life, being an outsider during military service or the first big heartbreak, Avidan arms himself with his guitar to fight his way through the stormy waves of life. From these depths grew a musical soul that knows how to capture its emotions in notes.
In 2006 his first EP entitled “Now That You’re Leaving” was released in Israel. Avidan then releases several albums. With his band The Mojos in tow, Avidan enters the stages of the world, both as the main act in sold-out halls and as the opening act for musical greats such as Morrissey and Avidan's great idol Bob Dylan.
With his “Reckoning Song” Avidan lands his big coup. The catchy tune becomes an overnight hit thanks to Berlin DJ Wankelmut's creative remix of “One Day”. Released again as a single, the song goes through the roof in the charts.
Since then he has been unstoppable. With more albums under his belt, Avidan is back on stage to enchant the world with his poetic sounds. As part of his Ichonology tour 2023/24, he invites his audience on a journey that leads through the depths of the human soul.

Pero Avidan no sólo domina este registro. A veces alto y claro, luego profundo y áspero, conquista los corazones de sus oyentes a través de la variación.
Nacido en Jerusalén y criado como hijo de diplomáticos en lugares como Jamaica, Asaf Avidan es un vagabundo entre culturas y sonidos. Su camino hacia la música no comenzó como un niño prodigio, sino cuando tenía veintitantos años. En situaciones difíciles de la vida, como ser un outsider durante el servicio militar o el primer gran desamor, Avidan se arma con su guitarra para abrirse camino a través de las tormentosas olas de la vida. De estas profundidades surgió un alma musical que sabe plasmar sus emociones en notas.
En 2006 se lanzó en Israel su primer EP titulado "Now That You're Leaving". Luego, Avidan lanza varios álbumes. Desde entonces ha sido imparable. Con más álbumes en su haber, Avidan regresa al escenario para encantar al mundo con sus sonidos poéticos. Como parte de su gira Ichonology 2023/24, invita a su público a un viaje que lo lleva a las profundidades del alma humana.
