Die Innenarchitektin Virginia hat Visionen, die sich bewahrheiten. So ahnte sie schon als Kind den Selbstmord ihrer Mutter. Nun kommen die Visionen wieder: In einem Autobahntunnel tauchen vor Virginia scheinbar unzusammenhängende Bilder wie ein zerbrochener Spiegel, ein gelbes Taxi, eine frische Mauer und eine erschlagene Frau auf. Angekommen in dem Landhaus ihres Mannes Francesco findet sie eine neu verputzte Stelle in der Wand und dahinter ein Skelett. Doch das ist nur der Anfang einer Reihe von Ereignissen, die für Jennifer immer bedrohlicher werden.
