In Los Angeles treiben der Berufsverbrecher Neil McCauley und seine Bande ihr Unwesen. Obwohl perfekt geplant, ging ihre letzte Aktion schief und der knallharte FBI-Agent Vincent Hanna wird auf die Bande aufmerksam.
