Als Hauptakteur jeder NATO-geführten Mittelmeer-Operation können die italienischen Streitkräfte auf eine lange und stolze militärische Tradition zurückblicken, von ihren Elite-Alpentruppen bis hin zu ihren schnellen gepanzerten Einheiten. Das Gleiche gilt für die italienische Automobil- und Rüstungsindustrie, die während des Kalten Krieges und darüber hinaus ikonische und bemerkenswerte Fahrzeuge hergestellt hat. Dazu gehören unter anderem der Geländewagen AR.76 Campagnola, der Radpanzer B1 Centauro, der Kampfpanzer C1 Ariete, der schlagkräftige Kampfhubschrauber A-129 Mangusta und das leichte Kampfflugzeug Aermacchi MB-339.Die italienischen Streitkräfte sind als eigenständige NATO-Nation in Wargame: Red Dragon vertreten und bringen ihre einzigartige Mischung aus in- und ausländischen Ausrüstungen, egal ob alt oder neu, auf das Schlachtfeld. Das Wargame: Red Dragon - Nation Pack: Italy enthält 104 neue italienische Einheiten mit italienischer Einheitsstimme, 19 neue Modelle und eine Vielzahl neuer Varianten. Diese Erweiterung bringt eines der optisch am aktuellsten Arsenale von Wargame: Red Dragon mit sich.HAUPTMERKMALE Übernehmen Sie das Kommando über 104 neue italienische Einheiten mit 19 neuen Modellen, darunter zahlreiche neue Varianten bestehender Einheiten, die alle meisterhaft nachgebildet und vollständig vertont sind. Esercito Italiano-Landstreitkräfte verlassen sich auf so renommierte Fahrzeuge wie den Geländewagen AR.76 Campagnola, den Transportpanzer VCC-1 Camilino, den für den Export produzierten Kampfpanzer OF-40 mit seiner berühmten Otomatic FlakPz-Variante und die FIROS-Serie auf Lkw montierten Raketenwerfer. Aber das ist noch nicht alles: Eine Vielzahl von Fiat 6602-Lkw, Fiat 6614 und 6616 TPz können eingesetzt werden, ebenso wie SIDAM 25 FlakPz und SPADA FlaRak, sowie der späte Prototyp B1 Centauro Radpanzer und dessen Aufklärungsvarianten und der einheimische Kampfpanzer C1 Ariete. Die Aeronautica Militare umfasst einheimische Flugzeugkonstruktionen wie die G.91 Gina, Aermacchi MB-339 und Ghibli Luftnahunterstützungsflugzeuge sowie lokal aufgerüstete F-104S-Kampfflugzeuge und mehrere Varianten des Panavia Tornado und des AV-8B Harrier. Die italienischen Hubschrauber fliegen nah über der Erde mit dem A-109 als Aufklärungs- und Panzerabwehrhubschrauber und mit mehreren Versionen der einheimisch modifizierten Huey und Twin Huey Hubschrauber. Der A-129 Mangusta ist ein leistungsstarker Flugabwehr- und Panzerabwehrhubschrauber. Die Bodentruppen bestehen aus Fantaria di Linea regulären Schützen, unterstützt von Alpini Gebirgsjägern, Paracadutisti Fallschirmjägern, Bersaglieri, Riservisti aus der zweiten Reihe und Guastatori. Zu den Marinetruppen gehören Maro und Lagunari sowie COMSUBIN und Col Moshin Spezialkräfte und Kommandos.Die italienischen Handfeuerwaffen umfassen alles von Relikten aus dem 2. Weltkrieg bis hin zu modernen Waffen, von den MAB 38/49 MP (Beretta M38), BM-59 Gewehren (Garand) und MG-42/59 MG bis hin zu AR-70 und AR-70/90 Sturmgewehren. Andere Infanteriewaffen sind eine Mischung aus M20A1 Super Bazooka, RL-100 Blindice, LAW und APILAS Panzerabwehrwaffen.
